Asthma is a chronic condition which means that it often requires treatment even if you are not having any symptoms. It involves airway inflammation and constriction.

Asthma In Pregnancy

Asthma occurs in 8-9% of pregnant women and allergic diseases are present in 20% of women of childbearing age. It is important for pregnant women with asthma to be monitored very closely because their asthma severity may change during pregnancy.

Chronic Cough

Chronic cough is one of the most common reasons for a visit to a medical provider. There are multiple causes including post-nasal drip, sinusitis, asthma, and gastroesophageal reflux.

Lung Functions

Pulmonary function testing, also called spirometry, is commonly performed in our office in patients five years of age and above who we suspect might have asthma. In many cases, this is the only way that the presence of asthma can be detected.

FeNO

FeNO stands for fractional exhaled nitric oxide. A simple breathing test that measures the amount of nitric oxide in your breath.

AERD (Aspirin–exacerbated Respiratory Disease)

Aspirin-Exacerbated Respiratory Disease (AERD), also known as Samter’s triad or NSAID-exacerbated respiratory disease (NERD), is a chronic respiratory condition that includes asthma, sinusitis, and nasal polyps, with a tendency to wheeze several hours after the ingestion of aspirin as well as other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as ibuprofen.

Vocal Cord Dysfunction (VCD)

Vocal Cord Dysfunction (VCD) occurs when the vocal cords (voice box) close inappropriately when a person is breathing. Most commonly, the vocal cords may close with inspiration.
